"Young Shepherd And His Dog Jb Huet 1745-1811 (workshop)"
Rare pastoral scene in tondo form. A typical subject, very fashionable in 18th-century French art, inspired by Huet, Boucher, Fragonard, and Watteau. This small oil painting depicts a pensive young shepherd seated at the foot of a tree with his dog against a landscape background. The pictorial style, very close to the works of Jean-Baptiste Huet, allows us to attribute this small tondo to a work from his workshop. Oil on canvas, circa 1760. Presented in a beautiful period carved oak frame, Louis XV style, with a motif of scrolls, shells, and arabesques. Dimensions: with frame, 30 cm x 30 cm. Without frame, 18 cm x 18 cm.
