"Mahogany Dressing Table, Empire Style With Caryatids, Background Mirror – Late 19th Century"
Important and elegant Empire-style dressing table in solid mahogany and mahogany veneer, dating from the late 19th/early 20th century. Adorned with finely chased gilt bronze mounts depicting female caryatids, laurel wreaths, palmettes, and claw feet. The front features three drawers with gilt bronze handles.
The uprights are richly decorated with bronze caryatids inspired by antiquity. The interior includes a full-length mirror, a characteristic feature of late 19th-century Empire dressing tables.
The lower section has a shelf, adding elegance and lightness to the piece. In very good condition, with a beautiful patina.
