18th-century Blown Glass Cooler - Margeride Factory, Folk Art, 18th Century
Individual blown glass cooler decorated with two mascarons, the rim and base adorned with fillets, one of which is hand-painted. A cane mark is visible under the base. Royal Manufacture of Margeride (Cantal), late 18th century, circa 1780. The iridescent material is characteristic of this production. A similar example is held at the Musée Crozatier in Le Puy-en-Velay. Dimensions: height 9.7 cm - diameter approximately 10 cm. Unfortunately damaged with a long crack, it remains an interesting artifact.
