"Emile Gallé Crystal Factory - Rare Art Nouveau Daisy Vase In Enameled And Gilded Glass. "
A rare flared vase in enameled glass, finished with a polylobed neck. The vase is slightly twisted, the result of hot-working techniques that create a wave-like effect in subtle relief. It features a rich enamel decoration, acid-etched and gilded, depicting daisies, chrysanthemums, and spiderwebs. Signed "Gallé" in a vegetal typeface at the bottom against a spiderweb background. This piece is in perfect condition and dates from the Art Nouveau period. This rare vase can be dated to around 1895, the period known as "Cristallerie" (Crystal Works), during which Émile Gallé developed models of various shapes in enameled glass. In particular, in the Art Nouveau galleries of the Petit Palais, there is a model entitled "Chrysanthemum Flowers," dated 1895, whose gilded and acid-etched decoration is similar to that of our vase (Inventory Number: OGAL596).
