This piece is a first edition, produced around 1920, by Critas of Doorn. The set consists of nine apples, each internally divided differently to represent different fractions (halves, thirds, quarters, etc.). The apples are bright red and are made of wood and metal, with an ingenious internal system of folding iron rods that allows the parts to be separated and reassembled.
The set is complete, preserved in its original condition, and includes the original box, a particularly rare item today. It is in excellent condition, with normal signs of aging consistent with its vintage age, which attest to its authenticity without compromising its legibility or charm.
