Cigarette Case, Notebook, Ballroom Purse, Tortoiseshell With Gold Trim, Napoleon III Style, 19th Century
A set comprising a cigarette case/dance card and a small tortoiseshell coin purse, decorated with gold trim and plaques, the small plaques engraved with a monogram, signed Maison H. Sss, probably for Maison Susse in Paris, dating from the Napoleon III period, 19th century. Both items are in good condition. The cigarette case/dance card no longer has the elastic bands to hold the cigarettes. The card has its pencil.
