Magnificent illuminated table sculpture entirely handmade by Isabelle and Richard Faure.
It consists of a block of Moroccan gypsum encased in a polished and patinated brass sculpture, simulating branches or a cut tree.
Two lights are concealed in the base under the gypsum block. Unique piece.
The sculpture measures 85 cm (33.5 inches) in diameter and 72 cm (28.35 inches) in height.
We present it here with a round glass top measuring 130 cm (51.2 inches) for convenience, but the original top measures 170 cm (67 inches - 5.6 feet) in diameter.
If you live outside Europe, it would probably be best to have a glass top made locally to the desired dimensions, as shipping a large glass top is delicate and expensive.
Biography
Isabelle Masson-Faure
In 1944, her father, an engineer, left for France-Argentina cooperation and it was in Argentina that Isabelle spent her entire childhood. Returning to France in 1958, after her secondary studies, she entered the Ateliers Met de Penninghen and Jacques Dandon. A graduate of the Paris School of Crafts, she specializes in Interior Architecture. She then worked for the Printemps stores, Peter decoration, Grifs (Richard Faure)…
It was in 1978 that she began working with metal, creating and producing extraordinary furniture. She then turned to sculpture, in unique pieces. Today, Isabelle devotes herself entirely to painting and sculpture and participates in numerous personal and group exhibitions. His works are regularly rewarded with prizes or acquisitions by cities.
Isabelle’s main sources of inspiration are the passage of time, nature and the plant world. In her pictorial work, she plays with shadows and light, creating a dreamlike and delicate universe. His sculpture recreates movement and transcribes life scenes full of poetry.
Passionate about art, Isabelle Masson-Faure runs painting, watercolor and drawing workshops in cultural centers and MLC, as well as courses in different creative techniques.

Richard Faure is a metal sculptor who has hand-crafted many unique decorative objects in brass and semi-precious and precious stones.
