Torture for the student I was… thankfully, I feel better now. Sixteen stained wooden pieces form an old collection of polyhedra, including, but not limited to: pi/3 x h²(3r-h), a right circular cylinder (pi.r².h), an oblique hexagon, a truncated oblique circular one, a spherical cap (like a wooden apple with a missing quarter), an oblique or upright pyramid, a hexagonal shape, etc. Fantastic times when we manipulated 3D objects instead of viewing them on screens… Moreover, these educational objects sometimes bear the marks of their use (small scratches, small dents), little marks that give them a soul. What's great is that you can arrange them however you like.
