18th-century Dutch-style Carafe With Engraved Decoration Of Deer And Birds
An iconic piece of 18th-century Dutch glassmaking, this Dutch-style glass carafe is blown and engraved with floral motifs, deer, and birds, set within ribbons of hot-applied, undulating glass worked with pliers. It features a long neck with two pinched side handles. The carafe is in good condition with no missing pieces, but there is an old repair at the base of one handle on the body, visible in the last photos. A drop of glue has fallen and set inside the carafe. Height 25 cm, width 15.5 cm.
