This Indonesian kris boasts a beautiful blade, crafted using a forging technique with various metals to create a lovely decorative effect. The sheath is made of wood, and the handle is carved wood. It has a beautiful patina from use. This is a very fine kris dagger that symbolizes the dual physical and social nature of its owner; an identical model can be found in the collections of the Quai Branly Museum.
