Marquetry Side Table – Louis XV Style
An oval pedestal table resting on four cabriole legs, joined by a shaped apron. The top is decorated with a central floral marquetry, composed of contrasting wood veneers arranged in a geometric frieze. The whole is highlighted by an openwork and studded brass gallery. The legs are adorned with gilt bronze mounts decorated with foliage, terminating in sabots. The piece is made of solid wood and veneer, probably walnut and fruitwoods, with decorative inlays.
