A refined jewelry box in silver and mother-of-pearl, finely engraved with rocaille motifs. Dating back to the early 18th century, it is rare for this box to have survived almost intact. The delicate engraved motifs are a riot of scrolls, waves, and interweavings with imaginative decorations. France, very early 18th century. (12 x 8.5 x 6 cm)
