Large tripod chocolate cup and saucer in Brussels porcelain, attributed to Faber - Early 19th century. The cup is cylindrical with a wide flared rim, resting on three small, fully gilded lion's paw feet. The handle is a volute ending in a foliate cascade. The white ground features polychrome decoration within a large rectangular reserve bordered in gold, depicting a topographical view: the Place de l'Église du Finistère (Brussels), enlivened with figures, and the inscription "L'EGLISE DU FINISTERE" in gold ribbon. The rest of the cup is decorated with a neo-Gothic "Cathedral" motif in gold, featuring trefoil arches, hatched hearts, and beaded friezes below the rim. The saucer has a matching decoration: a rim with a wide neo-Gothic frieze engraved and burnished in gold, and a gold circle and disc in the center.
