A very interesting painting by Gilfranco, a painter born in Barcelona in 1898 and who died in 1959 in Boulogne-sur-Mer. This scene of a fishing boat returning from the sea possesses a power and light that Gilfranco mastered perfectly, rendered with a thick and highly colorful palette. This artist exhibited alongside Picasso at the International Exposition of Arts and Techniques in Paris in 1937. The canvas is signed and dated 1959. Framed dimensions: 77 cm x 62 cm
