He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and practiced as an architect in Nantes, where he also taught. Alongside his professional work, he painted numerous seascapes, especially along the Atlantic coast (Brittany, Vendée, etc.). His style is gentle and soothing, with light colors and often misty scenes. He loved to depict calm seas, boats, and silent harbors. He was a member of the Saint-Nazaire Artistic Group.
