A very rare and antique folk art hair frame from the late 18th or early 19th century. A braided blonde lock of hair is set within a frame carved directly into the wood. In good condition with a slight chip in the paper sealing the glass. Beautifully preserved, rare for this size and age; such pieces are more commonly found in black Empire-style frames and are more typical of the late 19th century. Dimensions: 16 cm x 11.6 cm.
