A ciborium in very fine condition and of high quality from the workshop of André Favier, master silversmith in Lyon from 1826 to 1850, bearing the Minerva hallmark.
The Latin inscription "Panis angelorum factus est cibus hominum" (The bread of angels has become the food of men) is engraved on the polylobed foot.
On the same foot are six biblical figures, answered by the twelve apostles, six on the cup and six on the lid surmounted by a cross. Dimensions: 33 cm, weight: 840 grams - silver and vermeil. Reference: 799A
