Monogrammed and dated in the plate 1937, countersigned in pencil lower right and numbered in pencil lower left, No. 20 of 55. This very high-quality engraving depicts a seated peasant woman with her rosary, a cow to her right, and a figure in a boat. A student of Gustave Moreau, he exhibited his works in most of the Parisian Salons and abroad, winning a gold medal in the United States.
