"Empire Chest Of Drawers, Franconia, Early 19th Century"
A three-drawer commode with side pilasters adorned with blackened caryatid heads. The piece rests on blackened, paw-shaped feet. The front is finished in darker plum wood, while the main surfaces are veneered in cherry. The top edge is also blackened, and the hardware is brass. The commode has been professionally restored and hand-polished. The legs are replaced and modelled after old examples.
