Magnificent Sumak Kocan originating from Persia. Sumak is a weaving technique similar to embroidery. Created without a needle, it requires a second, diagonally woven weft thread that forms all the surface patterns. Its origins lie in Persia. At first glance, one is instantly captivated by a palette of diverse hues: indigo blue, orange, green, yellow, ochre, brown, ecru... The patterns are certainly characteristic of this region, but their arrangement is interesting, creating a beautiful harmony and a vibrant energy. Mid-20th century. Perfect condition.
