Signed and dated 1923 in the plate, countersigned in pencil lower right, and annotated in pencil lower left: trial proof. This high-quality engraving depicts a shepherd family in a landscape that appears to be Orientalist. A student of Gustave Moreau, he exhibited his works in most of the Parisian Salons and abroad, winning a gold medal in the United States.
