"High Period Candlestick, 16th Century."
Early period bronze candlestick, turned on a lathe. A beautiful and interesting model with a wide molded base, a turned baluster stem, and a tall, ringed socket pierced with two circular openings. Assembled by riveting. In good condition, consistent with its period, with a very old, short crack (0.5 cm) on the top of the base at the joint, which does not affect the candlestick's solidity and stability (see last photo). The piece has retained a beautiful antique patina. Quality work, last third of the 16th century. Note: Shipping to France is possible via Colissimo with tracking and signature required: 20 euros. Other destinations upon request.
