This model is no longer in production (production 2002-2018) SI KIANG is a perfect example of the "Old Marseille" decorations found on earthenware services made in the south of France in the 18th century. Chinese-inspired decorations were fashionable at the time and reflected Europeans' fascination with the Orient and its influence on the decorative arts. A great lover of antiques, André Raynaud acquired an earthenware plate in 1974 whose designs he admired and decided to transpose them onto his delicate, fine, and transparent porcelain, allowing for a perfect and vibrant rendering of the designs and colors. This service offers six original scenes, present on all the plates and cups, representing bucolic scenes of fishermen in amidst an exotic nature. Foliage and birds punctuate the rims of the plates, whose border is adorned with an elegant green combed pattern. Raynaud is now re-enchanting this emblematic decoration of the House on "Argent", a scalloped shape from the 18th century, to better ennoble it.
