P. Canaux - Floral Tea Service - Art Nouveau - Silver Vermeil - 14 Pcs

Complete 14-piece vermeil tea service, from the Art nouveau period, featuring a naturalistic decoration of finely worked flowers and foliage.

The pieces feature relief and chasing work.
The openwork spatulas are adorned with stylized brugmansias, while the spoons form ribbed leaves, with attached scrolls, in the decorative Art Nouveau style of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Openwork handles and sinuous plant lines are characteristic of Art Nouveau naturalistic productions.

The set is preserved in its original case

12 coffee spoons - length: 12.2 cm
1 tea strainer - length: 13.1 cm
1 sugar tongs - length: 13 cm

Each piece bears a Minerve 1st title hallmark, ( 950/1000)

The pieces also bear the master hallmark of Paul Canaux (received in 1892), "PC & Cie", accompanied by an anvil as different.




Condition
The set is in good overall condition.


The original case is preserved but shows marked wear, soiling, cracks and age-related alterations.
