Napoleon III Marquetry Key Cabinet
An original and rare rosewood key box with superb brass and pewter marquetry depicting keys. Some minor losses to the moldings on the cornice are visible in the photos. The two rear feet are also missing, but this is a significant omission as these items are usually hung on the wall. There was likely a decorative element on the top as well. The marquetry on the doors is of truly exceptional quality. This high-quality piece likely came from a fine residence.
