"Baccarat - Vase Decorated With Daffodils"
Small, cylindrical, transparent Baccarat Art Nouveau vase with Venetian ribbing and an enameled decoration of raised daffodils. The ends are highlighted with fine gold. Dating from the early 20th century, this piece does not bear the Baccarat signature. It was only in 1936 that the crystalworks began systematically acid-etching its signature onto its products, replacing the paper labels that peeled off after use and washing. Dimensions: 14.5 x 6 cm. Venetian ribbing, a style in which the interior of the glass is slightly undulating in vertical stripes, is a technique often seen in French glassware and vases that was popular from the late 19th to the early 20th century.
