Ljuben Dimanov was born in Bulgaria in 1933 and graduated from the Sofia Academy of Fine Arts. He arrived in France in 1976 to live and work, winning several international awards while maintaining a connection with his native Bulgaria. The bull, and the strength it represents, is a recurring theme in his work. The addition of letters or newspaper clippings is typical of his work, which explores movement and combat. He passed away in 2023 and his work is featured in numerous private collections. This piece is framed with a small wooden molding, approximately 1 cm wide, made by the artist himself.
