"Hexagonal Lampscope, Magic Lantern, Alphonse Giroux, 19th Century"
This hexagonal lampascope by Alphonse Giroux is made of cardboard covered in paper. It was placed on a kerosene lamp in the house to serve as a magic lantern. The wooden part and the cord are later additions. The entire piece dates from the 19th century. We have the box, but the top chimney is missing. We note some paper loss in places and damage to the cardboard. Our photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object. For condition details, please examine the photos carefully.
