A Fine Regence Period Giltwood Mirror with Pierced Pediment, c. 1715–1723
An elegant and decorative mirror, crafted in carved and gilded wood, adorned with foliate scrollwork inspired by the designs of Jean Bérain. Its finely wrought pierced pediment features a leafy motif and a large central cartouche, both characteristic of the Regence style.
A superb example of French craftsmanship from 1715–1723, this mirror combines refinement and graceful lines.
