A very beautiful Orientalist oil painting by Lucien Mainssieux (1885-1958). This is a portrait of a young Oriental girl in her traditional dress. The color palette is magnificent! The painting technique is superb! Signed and countersigned on the back with an annotation by the artist. The painting measures 48 x 40 cm with its beautiful gilt frame and 35 x 27 cm without. Visually, it is a very charming painting! The face is lovely and very expressive.
