Large 19th-century Restoration period candlestick in polished (gilt-colored) chased bronze, mounted as a lamp.
New wiring: gilt brass socket for an E27 screw-in bulb, new wire.
The power supply is routed through the inside of the candlestick. Its oval, angled lampshade was created from a "Vernante" patterned fabric.
This lampshade shape has the advantage of being shallow, ideal for consoles, mantelpieces, etc.
