Moustiers 18th Century (oval Dish In Shades Of Green)
Oval-shaped dish with a scalloped rim highlighted with green and manganese lines.
The decoration, known as "en plein" (in full), is a monochrome green design of three terraces.
On one terrace, a standing priest; on another, a young Pierrot, the two separated by a flowering shrub.
On the rim, flowering rocks;
the whole is adorned with vegetation and two large insects.
This dish has a superb glaze on the front, while its reverse has a slightly granular surface. Despite this firing flaw, not uncommon in the 18th century, there has been NO RESTORATION.
