A "large" Acrobats" Cup And Saucer - China, 18th Century, Qianlong Period
Qianlong period (1736-1795)
Diameter (saucer): 13.9 cm
Height (cup): 4.6 cm. This decoration is uncommon: it is executed in Famille Rose enamels in the manner of so-called “Mandarin” wares. It departs from the usual garden-scene decorations of human figures, and belongs rather to a narrative register.
