A beautiful set of eight cane-back chairs in carved and molded walnut. Wide, flat, undulating backs with floral and foliate motifs. Curved and curved seat rails. Cabriole legs decorated with shells and swags of flowers. Circa 1900. Overall height 97 cm, seat height 43 cm, width 50 cm, depth 44 cm. Seats: two cane seats with damage, one with loose caning.
