Set Of 12 Antique Venetian Glasses In Blown And Engraved Glass, Murano, 1960s
Set of twelve Venetian glasses in blown and finely engraved glass, made in Murano in the 1960s.
The bowl of these glasses is shaped like a closed tulip, resting on a short stem and a round base.
They are suitable for serving both cognac and full‑bodied red wines.
The engraved decoration is inspired by 18th‑century Venetian motifs, depicting an elegant lady in a long dress and a nobleman dressed in the fashion of the Settecento; the intention is to evoke the aristocratic and festive atmosphere of old Venice.
Although the twelve glasses share the same shape and engraving, slight variations in size can be observed from one piece to another. These differences attest to their artisanal manufacture and give the set a charm that industrial productions cannot offer.
Condition: very good overall condition.
