"romantic Architecture" Watercolor, 19th Century
A charming and delicate watercolor on paper depicting an imaginary romantic landscape with two figures. Although unsigned, the painter's mastery is evident in the perspective and the finesse and precision of the work. It is housed in an antique stuccoed and gilded wood frame (with some chips and losses) and an antique glass pane. Traces of wax seals are visible on the back, along with the number RE 106.
