A rare and elegant antique carved and gilded wooden frame dating from the late 19th century, around 1880. This frame is distinguished by the quality and richness of its decoration, with wide moldings finely adorned with scrolls, foliage, and floral motifs inspired by the Louis XV style. The original gilding (with only a few touch-ups) has a beautiful, warm patina. The back reveals a traditional wooden stretcher construction with applied moldings, as well as the stamp of the framing workshop (Delorme in Paris), attesting to its high-quality, professional craftsmanship.
