Moroccan dagger known as a koumya - Morocco, Agadir 1938. Wooden handle decorated with chased silver arabesques and floral motifs. Solid silver scabbard chased with arabesques and floral motifs. The silver chasing is of exceptional quality. The scabbard is engraved with Arabic calligraphy and the date 1357 of the Islamic calendar (1938 of the Gregorian calendar). The blade, of Spanish import, is engraved on one side with the name of the city "Agadir," a trophy of arms, and a floral frieze. Length 39 cm. Length without scabbard 36 cm. Blade length 22 cm. Weight 526 g. Weight without scabbard 264 g. Weight of scabbard 262 g.
