**************

Pewter wine pitcher with a shouldered shape, plinth foot, tall bowl with a straight heel, and acorn-shaped thumb rest.
Marked by Nicolas Renard, master craftsman around 1756: crowned hammer / NRD.
Height: 20.2 cm.
Capacity: 0.540 liters.
SENS (BURGUNDY), second half of the 18th century.

Very rare provenance in very good condition.
The typology of this center is similar to that of the Île-de-France region.
The hallmark was identified following recent archival research which mentions the existence of Nicolas Charles Félix Renard.
It is worth noting that these pitchers were the official wine measures of the Ancien Régime.
