Roger Vieillard (1907, Le Mans - 1989, Paris) was a French engraver and illustrator, associated with the artists of the New School of Paris. In 1943, gallery owner Jeanne Bucher organized his first solo exhibition and published his collection, Paysages de France (Landscapes of France). The years 1947 to 1958 were marked by numerous exhibitions in Rotterdam with Jacques Houplain and Michel Ciry, at the Billiet-Caputo Gallery, at the Venice Biennale in 1948 and 1950, and at the São Paulo Biennial in 1953-1954. His prints are inspired by the industrial world. From 1960 onwards, Roger Vieillard perfected a bas-relief technique.
Works in numerous museums.
