This refined antique cigarette case stands out immediately for the exceptional quality of its craftsmanship and for the visual richness provided by the filigree and polychrome enamels. It is a European piece made around 1920, conceived as a personal object of distinction and luxury. Its appearance is elegant, well balanced and highly eye catching.

The cigarette case is made entirely of solid gilt silver. The entire exterior surface is decorated with very fine, carefully pierced filigree work, forming a continuous network of curved lines and ornamental motifs. Between these filigree bands are decorative panels enriched with enamels in shades of blue, green and turquoise, precisely applied and preserved in perfect condition. The contrast between the gilded silver and the colorful enamels is particularly attractive and highly decorative.

The structure is rigid and solid, with a perfectly fitting side clasp. The opening latch retains the original silver hallmarks, including the clearly visible but unidentified “SA” mark. The lid opens and closes correctly, giving a good sense of precise fitting.

The interior is also made of gilt silver. The original internal elastic bands used to hold the cigarettes are no longer present, which is common in this type of object due to the passage of time. This detail does not affect the overall condition and, if the cigarette case were to be used, new elastic bands could be easily replaced without difficulty.

The piece is in excellent overall condition. It shows no dents, deformations or losses in the filigree, and the enamels are complete, with no losses or visible restorations. It has been very well preserved.

This collectible cigarette case is ideal for display in a cabinet, for a collector of silver objects, or as a very special gift with character, history and an aesthetic that is difficult to find today. Due to its genuine rarity within this category, it is an uncommon piece on the market. It stands out for the quality of its craftsmanship and the richness of its enameled decoration. Its excellent state of preservation makes it a very attractive opportunity for anyone seeking a truly special antique cigarette case.

Measurements: 11.1 × 8 cm (4.37 × 3.15 in). Weight 102.2 g.
