Alfénide, Christofle Rubans, Turgot Pattern, 37-piece Silver-plated Flatware Set.
Beautiful Louis XVI style silver-plated dinnerware set with ribbons.
37 pieces for 12 people, including:
- 12 dinner spoons, 20.8 cm,
- 12 dinner forks, 20.8 cm,
- 12 teaspoons/coffee spoons/dessert spoons, 13.6 cm,
- 1 ladle, 32 cm.
Very good condition, few visible scratches from use and a beautiful shine, but some minor silvering loss on the backs of the fork tines (see last photo).
Hallmarked Alfenide in full. Hallmarked with a horse's head and the "OC" mark for "Christofle Silversmiths." 84-weight silver, good quality silver plating.
Alfénide was a silversmithing brand created in the 19th century by Charles Halphen and acquired by Christofle in the early 20th century.
Christofle used the Alfénide brand to produce some of their models, creating overlaps with others in their range. Thus, both hallmarks appear on this model. These are exactly the same flatware pieces, with the exact same design, produced in the same workshops; only the hallmark changes: "Alfénide" for pieces from the 1950s and Christofle for more recent pieces.
Original case in very good condition.
Total weight without case: 2.3 kg, with case: 3.2 kg.
Pick-up possible without delivery costs at our store in Bordeaux, 59 rue Huguerie, contact us.
We also accept Sepa transfers for France and all of Europe, contact us.
In case of multiple purchases:
- for France, we only charge the most expensive postage, we refund the overpayment.
