Pair Of Bouquetières Of St Clément - Late 18th Century
Pair of St. Clément Wall-Mounted Flower Pots - Late 18th Century. Polychrome pieces in the Neoclassical style, fired at low temperature. The decoration is enhanced with color, featuring bouquets of cornflowers. "It was Richard Mique, from Versailles, steward and architect to Queen Marie Antoinette, owner of the St. Clément earthenware factory in 1763, who introduced the Neoclassical style to this factory." A chip has been repaired on the lower central part of one of the two pots. Otherwise, there are no cracks. A few small losses of glaze are present on the raised areas.
