The vases are completed by two gilded openwork handles. The finely crafted floral and plant motifs in vivid, vibrant colors stand out for their quality of execution.
The Samson factory, operating since the mid-19th century, was renowned for producing reproductions of antique porcelain vases from various parts of the world, such as Japanese and Chinese vases, as well as European ones, such as Sèvres and Meissen, and ceramics. The Samson pieces were of excellent quality and became collector's items in their own right, alongside the antique originals.
