PARIS, in the Sèvres style. Pair of ovoid, bulbous vases with a midnight blue ground and polychrome enamel and gold decoration. They are decorated on the front with scenes of gallant women in medallions in the 18th-century style inspired by Watteau, signed A. Chapuis, and on the back with lakeside landscapes with a castle. Gilt bronze mounts. Period N III, late 19th century.
