Pochini rejected the constraints of his time's morals and realism in his female portraits , the often asymmetrical and unconventional composition aimed to magnify "Woman" .
He represented them in highly idealized , feminine, and seductive forms .
The sculptor drew inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement, characterized by ornamentation inspired by flora and fauna , and emphasizing the aesthetics of curved lines .
The sculpture is titled "Clarisfe" on the front .
The sculptor's signature , "V. Pochini" is on the back .

Vittorio Pochini , was a famous Italian sculptor , born in Volterra , Tuscany, on July 7, 1860 .
He began his apprenticeship at the Volterra School of Art , then went to Florence to further his studies in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts .
His ability to create original subjects , breaking free from the neoclassicism of Canova's influence , allowed him to broaden his clientele , attracted by new genres that were no longer limited to the models and images of classical antiquity .
A taste for novelty modernized the sculptural art of Volterra , at a time when production had to meet the demands of the national market , in order to innovate and adapt to new tastes and production methods , constrained by increasing industrialization .
His best-known works are preserved at the Franciscan convent in Piombino , Turin, and San Marino .
Through his innovative creations , he contributed to making the art of Volterra famous throughout the world .
He received numerous awards and is considered a Precursor of his time .
The Master of Volterra died in Florence in 1908 .
