Wooden box originating from the High Vosges Mountains - Folk art - 19th century. Rectangular box/casket, possibly for a wedding, lacemaker, or "catch-all," made of wood carved with geometric shapes. Rustic hinges made of wire. Closes with two hooks. Made of beech wood. Good condition, only missing a small ring for one of the hooks. Numerous woodworm holes (treated wood). Length 42 cm, width 26.5 cm, height 18.5 cm
