A rare and large statue with a horse's head and human body, representing Kalki, the last avatar of the god Vishnu. Made of wood with traces of polychromy, it is displayed on its original base (a table with turned legs). The piece requires restoration (the base's feet and various other elements need reattaching; the ears and one of the attributes on the left hand are missing, etc.). A very spectacular piece of Hindu worship. North India (Rajasthan), 19th century. Dimensions: (total height) 180 x 165 x 90 cm. Height of the statue: 136 cm - height of the table: 44 cm.
