We are delighted to offer this stylish pair of solid silver Regency coasters made by William Eaton in London, 1815.

Being made in the Regency period, the pair features a most wonderful design of a gadrooned border, with the rest presenting an understated yet splendid mirror finish.

Particularly noteworthy and desirable for the discerning collector is the usage of solid silver even on the base which distinguishes this pair from counterpart coasters that usually have a wooden base.

Such opulence in combination with its mirror finish allows for the light to reflect and 'bounce' off each section, further elevating the splendour and ambience of whichever setting they may be used in.

Underneath, a wooden base and felt lining are present in order to prevent scratches on the surface of the table.

Undoubtedly stylish even as a display piece on a table, better yet, such fine silverware can also be practically used in the modern-day. Whether it be serving wine or other beverages of your choice or perhaps to place a glass flower vase within. A wonderful way to display your passion and appreciation for fine antiques and history and a conversation starter if used on an occasion with guests.

English hallmarks are present on the lower rim of each coaster with additional matching marks separately on the silver bases. The marks are somewhat worn on the rim but is legible under close inspection.

Condition

Great Condition -  The pair is in great antique condition with no major issues or damage. Some surface wear commensurate with age and one of the coasters appears to have an old restoration where the original joining of the wall would be, as shown in the last image. It is quite difficult to see and does not affect its usage but is mentioned for accuracy.

We aim to overemphasise and state these issues to avoid disappointment and thus please rest assured they are not significant nor affect the usage of the items.

Please refer to the photographs to examine the condition in further detail.
