Large Oil on Canvas "In the Marshes of the Petite Camargue" 1922
By Henri Émilien ROUSSEAU (1875-1933)

Beautiful dimensions:
Canvas on stretcher: 116 x 81 cm
Frame: 135 x 100 cm

Despite the size of this work, Henri ROUSSEAU paid meticulous attention to detail, maintaining a light style that enhances the sensation of movement, with a realistic rendering of poses, volumes, and proportions. Within a highly academic composition, he reveals his sensitivity to color and light, all in service of his passion for horses.

Canvas in good condition, no scratches or tears, just two small chips of paint approximately 2-3 mm and some discreet craquelure inherent to age.
Original frame in good overall condition apart from a few surface chips.

Conditions, cost, and shipping or delivery arrangements to be determined.
